Cornish Pasty Week 2020 Highlights
Cornish Pasty Week 2020 has now come to an end, with an incredible day at Eden Project for the World Pasty Championships yesterday marking the final day. We’ve had an amazing albeit busy week, so here are the highlights!
Monday - World’s Fastest Crimper First Heats @ Heartlands
We started the week at Heartlands for the First Heats of the World’s Fastest Crimper. Well done to both Kelly and Jonathan for taking part! Jonathan made it through to the final four, securing his spot on stage at Eden this Saturday for the final ‘crimp off’.
Picture 4 is Matt, Mike & Chris from Towergate sponsoring the CPA once again for Cornish Pasty Week. Thanks boys 😊All the crimped Pasties were been donated to Coastline Housing based in Pool to be freshly baked off to feed those without permanent housing. Much needed sustenance - in this bleak, wet and windy weather.
Thursday - Visiting St Petroc’s in Truro
As part of the celebration for Cornish Pasty Week and to help the homeless, Cornish Premier Pasties delivered pasties, kindly supplied by Towergate. What amazing staff - we were so impressed with Lois and her team, their commitment and passion for those genuinely trying to find accommodation, or just company and a friendly smile.

Saturday - World Pasty Championships @ Eden!
The week came to an end with the World Pasty Championships, held at the Eden Project. Not only were we here for the results of the Pasty Championships, but also for the Jonathon to take part in the finals of the World’s Fastest Crimper! We also had great fun helping out on the CPA stand.
The CPA Stand
At the CPA stand children had the chance to make their own Cornish Pasty and learn to crimp! Believe us - it’s much harder than it looks. It’s great to see so many getting involved in Cornish Pasty Week, and we hope everyone who visited the stand had fun! A special thanks to Helen and Marie for assisting with the children’s crimping for the CPA!
World’s Fastest Crimper Competition
After placing in the final four at the First Heats at Heartlands on Monday, Jonathon competed in the finals for World’s Fastest Crimper on Saturday at Eden. He only went and came first!!! You can read more here. Well done Jonathon!
Pasty Champs Results!
We’re delighted to announce that at the World Pasty Championships 2020 we won both the Silver and the Bronze award in the Company Cornish Category with our Gourmet Layered Cornish Pasty and Gourmet Mixed Cornish Pasty. Read more about here!
