Here at Cornish Premier Pasties, we believe the secret to our success is in sourcing only the freshest and finest quality ingredients to use in our products.
We are proud to use Cornish produce wherever possible. This not only minimises the environmental impact of “Food Miles”, but it also contributes as giving something back to the local economy – something we are very passionate about.
Every day we use fresh, locally sourced products to produce traditional hand-crimped pasties. Our potatoes, swede and onion are all grown locally at Hay Farms. They are based in Torpoint, near Saltash in Cornwall, and deliver us fresh produce daily.

Traditional Cornish Pasties
What is a Genuine Cornish Pasty?
We get a lot of people asking, what makes a pasty a Cornish Pasty? Well – it has to comply with the rules of the Cornish Pasty Association.
Firstly, it must be produced in Cornwall to call itself Cornish, thanks to the Cornish Pasty having PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) status. Even though you can get our pasties all over the UK (and a few places overseas), they are all made in Cornwall, here at our factory in St Columb.
As for what makes the pasty itself? It must only contain:
Roughly diced (or minced) beef, sliced or diced potato, swede (or as some call it, turnip), onion, seasoning to taste (mainly salt & pepper – we’re not telling your our secret seasoning!). Yes – you read that right... No carrots! There must be no other meat than beef, which should make up a minimum of 12.5% of the pasty. There should be no vegetables other than those stated, which make up at least 25% of the pasty! Lastly, the pastry should be savoury and crimped down the side – we insist on a minimum of 22 crimps!

Our Traditional Cornish Pasty
This Cornish Pasty really is a winner – after placing in the top 2 for 5 years at the World Pasty Championships (winning Gold in 2022 and 2017!) – something we are very proud of. This is our original pasty, and to be a ‘Cornish Pasty’ must comply with PGI rules. It consists of potatoes, swede and onion- and of course the steak! We traditionally use trimmed skirtbeef. We also have “inhouse” butchers to ensure that only the best quality beef goes into our pasties. This cut of beef produces a rich gravy during the baking process, thus ensuring (alongside our secret pepper seasoning!) a genuine flavoursome Cornish Pasty. This pasty is available in Cocktail, Small, Medium, Large and Giant sizes.

Speciality Pasties
Many will argue you can’t beat a proper ‘Cornish Pasty’. Traditional Steak is the original, however here at Cornish Premier Pasties we believe our range of speciality Pasties are something to shout about! We put a lot of time into developing new products for our customers, and we definitely think this shows in the finished products – with our Red Thai recently being voted Gold in the Open Savoury Category at the World Pasty Championships 2017. This isn’t our only award-winning Speciality Pasty – our Spicy Chicken & Mango also took silver in this category in 2016’s championships!
We work hard to find the finest ingredients to ensure all our products reach our ‘Premier’ standard, and are always looking to improve our products if necessary – our Lamb & Mint Pasty was always a customer favourite but is even more popular since we’ve improved the recipe.

Made from tender chicken breast marinated in yoghurt, with subtle spices including garlic, chilli, cardamom, ginger, garam marsala to name but a few. All gently combined with delicious mango chutney. There’s also a few more ingredients needed to create this exotic, award winning pasty… But they’re top secret!

Just like our traditional Cornish Pasty, but this time our steak is marinated in Cornish Tribute Ale, to bring out the full flavour.

The Creamy Chicken & Leek Pasty
Many speciality pasties come and go, however our Creamy Chicken & Leek Pasty has stood the test of time, and remains an all round favourite. The Creamy Chicken Pasty contains tender chicken breast in a creamy sauce accompanied by various local vegetables. The flavour is enhanced with subtle hints of turmeric and paprika, and finished off with our secret seasoning. This pasty is then hand crimped and topped with breadcrumbs and herbs.
The Steak & Stilton Pasty
A traditional steak pasty scattered with a helping of creamy blue stilton cheese.
Not for everyone but if you love stilton…you’ll love this!
The Lamb & Mint Pasty
Mmm.. Our Lamb & Mint Pasty. Have you tried it? Tender pieces of lamb that have been marinated in a sweet mint glaze, coupled with a vegetable medley of potato, swede and onion. This filling is then married together with just the slightest hint of rosemary & black pepper. And of course, a few other little secret ingredients to tempt your tastebuds! With a new and improved recipe to really bring out the delicious flavours in this pasty, make sure you give it a try!
The Full English Breakfast Pasty
Start your day with one of our Full English Breakfast pasties!
We’ve developed this yummy combination of our own Cornish butcher’s sausage, full English back bacon, creamy scrambled eggs, tomato and baked beans, all made on premise. The classic Full English recipe.

The Cheese & Ham Pasty
Simplicity at its best, this pasty contains pieces of ham, suspended in a rich and creamy cheese sauce. The addition of onion and ground black pepper balance the sauce beautifully…
The Pork & Apple Pasty
This is one of our old time favourites, everyone knows that pork and apple are a match made in heaven!
Full of delicious herbs and flavours, this pasty is something you definitely need to try!
The Chicken & Chorizo Pasty
Chunks of tender chicken breast and spicy chorizo.Accompanied by fresh onions, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, smoked bacon and hint of chilli.
…And not forgetting of course our combination of ‘secret ingredients’.
The Chilli Beef Pasty
Tender minced beef, onion, potato, kidney beans in a rich chilli sauce combined with various spices such as cumin, smoked paprika and chilli. Very much your original chilli con carne dish!
Just in case you’re wondering, no – it’s not too hot! Just a lovely bit of warmth…
The Chicken & Bacon Pasty
If it works in a pie, it’ll work in a pasty! Chunks of chicken breast and bacon are married together in a rich and creamy sauce, alongside potato, swede and onion. You’ll taste hints of sage, parsley and turmeric, all encased in our delicious pastry. Pop it in a bag, and off you go!
The Steak & Gravy Pasty
This is completely different to your traditional Cornish Pasty. Containing over 20% lean beef suspended in a rich onion gravy the title describes this pasty perfectly, with the staple potato and a hint of garlic and herbs.
Vegetarian Pasties
Here at Cornish Premier Pasties we believe everyone should be able to enjoy our delicious Pasties – whether they’re meat eaters or not! Although the traditional Cornish Pasty contains meat, there are plenty of meat-free options to try. That’s why we’ve worked hard on creating a Vegetarian range that means you have more choice than the classic Cheese & Onion (though this is still always a Veggie favourite!). From our Spinach and Ricotta Pasty to the popular Spicy Mediterranean Vegetable Pasty (also Vegan!), we have something for everyone!
The Vegetable Pasty
A traditional favourite, our Vegetable Pasty has stood the test of time. A combination of sliced potato, swede, onion, carrots, peas, sweetcorn and peppers, all gently mixed with vegetable bouillon and a touch of nutmeg, black pepper and garlic. Add a little butter and you’ve created the perfect vegetarian pasty!
The Spinach & Ricotta Pasty
As much as we love a classic Cheese & Onion pasty, our Spinach & Ricotta is a different take on a cheese pasty with some added greens! With additional herbs and spices, this tasty and unique Vegetarian pasty is something you should try.
The Cheese, Broccoli and Sweetcorn Pasty
One of our “all time” vegetarian favourites, this has really stood the test of time. The combination of a mature creamy cheddar sauce with the addition of broccoli and sweetcorn, seasoned to perfection. Tasty & delicious!
The Cheese & Onion Pasty
A staple favourite for all, not just vegetarians. A delicate combination of Westcountry mature (yet creamy!) cheddar cheese, potato and onion with just the right amount of peppery seasoning… What’s not to like?

The Vegan ‘Chicken’ Pasty
NEW FOR 2022!
The latest addition to our Vegan range, our Vegan ‘Chicken’ Pasty. A meat-free take on our Creamy Chicken & Leek Pasty, this pasty replaces Chicken with a delicious plant-based vegetable protein in a Vegan white sauce. Accompanied by potato, leeks, swede and onions - topped with breadcrumbs and an array of herbs and spices.

The Vegan Red Thai Pasty
With our award-winning Red Thai Chicken Pasty being one of our most popular products, we thought it was only fair that we created a Vegan alternative. Lemongrass, coconut cream, shallots, garlic, chilli and Kaffir Lime peel combined with our ‘secret ingredients’ create the delicious Red Thai curry, which is filled with chickpeas and an array of different vegetables. This Vegan pasty is not one to be missed!
The Vegan Spicy Mediterranean Vegetable Pasty
Yes – you heard it right, the Spicy Mediterranean Vegetable Pasty is Vegan! And what is in it? Well, the clue is in the name… This pasty contains a mixture of vegetables, including tomato, mixed peppers and the staple potatoes and onions. Kidney beans are also added to the fill, which is then all seasoned with soy sauce and given a kick with a combination of herbs and spices such as ginger, oregano, garlic and chilli! These are all added in ‘just the right quantities’ to get the vegetarian and vegan taste buds tingling but at the same time enjoying the individual ingredients with a lasting warmth of flavour… The Unglazed Spicy Mediterranean Vegetable Pasty is produced as the first batch of the day, with a vegan pastry.
The Vegan Wholesome Vegetable Pasty
Where to start - there are so many ingredients in this one… Including mixed peppers, onion, garlic, diced leeks, potato, peas, carrot and sweetcorn mixed with a vegan white sauce and vegetable bouillon. These ingredients are then delicately mixed with herbs, gentle spices and seasoning. The wholemeal pastry compliments this eclectic Vegan mix perfectly!
Vegan ‘Sausage’ Roll
We know we're not the first and we certainly won’t be the last... but after great demand we are now proud to announce that we have perfected our new Vegan Sausage Roll. The vegan filling is encased in a delicate vegan puff pastry and tantalises the taste buds with the delicate seasonings of white pepper, herbs and spices. Try it and see – it’s a winning combination.

Despite our name, here at Cornish Premier Pasties we do sell products other than Pasties! We have a variety of other products, which make the perfect mid-morning (or afternoon!) snack…
We offer a variety of Turnovers, Sausage Rolls, Slices and Bakes, and don’t worry – Vegetarian options are available in both Slices and Sausage Rolls. We also now do a Vegan Sausage Roll! But if you do eat meat, we’d like to point out that as traditional butchers, our Sausage Rolls are second to none! We use the BEST cuts of pork to ensure a sausage roll that’s light to bite and full of taste. Try one and see for yourself!

With our history of being butchers first & foremost, we genuinely use the best cuts of pork in our Jumbo Sausage Roll. These are mixed with just the right amount of black pepper & herbs to ensure a sausage roll that’s light to the bite & full of taste.
Vegan ‘Sausage’ Roll
'Our Vegan Sausage Roll uses a plant-based filling that mimics the texture of sausage meat, but is created with wheat-protein, onion and subtle seasonings of white pepper, herbs and spices. All of this is encased in a delicate vegan puff pastry. Try it and see – it’s a winning combination.’

Bacon & Cheese Turnover
Our Bacon & Cheese Turnover (also referred to as a Bacon bite) is a breakfast favourite. Consisting of crispy rindless back bacon and creamy mature cheese enveloped in a light, handmade puff pastry. Perfect on its own, or dipped in a little bit of tomato ketchup!
Sausage, Cheese & Tomato Turnover
As butchers by trade, we make our own sausages on premise. This turnover contains one of our famous 60% plus herby sausages with a mature cheddar cheese sauce and the original ‘Heinz Tomato Ketchup’. All lovingly encased by hand in our premier puff pastry.
